1. Click the account menu at the top right of any Facebook page
2. Select “Settings”
3. Click “Security” in the left column
4. Choose “Deactivate your account” at the bottom of the page
5. Follow the steps to confirm your decision
6. Click “Permanently delete my account”
You will be asked to enter your password again and then Facebook will begin the process of permanently deleting your account. It may take up to 90 days for all of your information to be completely deleted from Facebook’s servers. It's a pretty simple process to deactivate your Facebook account.
